Butternut Squash!

Hey Gang! I’m back with day 3 of #25DaysOfChristmas if you have been following along on my Instagram (@chefmorghan), and I want to talk about some winter options for those that don’t necessarily care to eat extra heavy just because its getting cold. One of those quick and healthy options is butternut squash. You can buy then whole or you can buy them already cut up.
What I like most about butternut squash is how versatile it is for cooking in the kitchen. The squash can be prepared sweet in a dessert such as a pie or it cane be prepared as a savory side dish such as a soup. Either way you choose to eat this winter squash, you will be satisfied. I personally prefer to eat these squash as a savory option.
There are so many different health benefits of butternut squash, them preventing high blood pressure because of the insane amount of Potassium in them is one of them. Butternut squash is also good for promoting regal bowel movements as well. For my ladies that a re into skin care, butternut squash protects your skin from wrinkles and dryness due to the amount of Vitamin C contained in them. Let’s jump right into this quick easy recipe. Ingredients: 2 Cups butter nut quash 1-2 TBS Olive Oil 1TBS Salt 1TBS Pepper 1 TBS Dried Rosemary 1 TBS Dried Thyme Instructions: 1.) Preheat oven to 425 and line a baking sheet with foil 2.) Mix all ingredients together including butternut squash in a bowl 3.) Spread the cubed butternut squash all over the foil 4.) Bake in the oven for about 25-30 mins or until the butternut squash is tender to your liking 5.) Serve and eat
